Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) sets out the standards we require from users of all Tidalux services, websites and platforms. By using our services you agree to comply with this AUP and our Terms of Service.

1. Prohibited uses

You must not use our services to:

1.1 Illegal activity

• Engage in or facilitate any activity that is illegal under UK or applicable international law.
• Infringe the intellectual property rights of any third party.
• Engage in fraud, identity theft or deceptive practices.
• Violate any applicable data protection or privacy law.

1.2 Harmful content

• Transmit, distribute or store content that is harmful, abusive, harassing, defamatory, obscene or hateful.
• Distribute child sexual abuse material (CSAM) — we will report this to law enforcement immediately.
• Promote violence, terrorism or extremism.

1.3 Security

• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any computer system, network or account.
• Transmit viruses, malware, ransomware, spyware or any other malicious code.
• Conduct or facilitate denial-of-service (DoS/DDoS) attacks.
• Conduct port scanning or network probing without explicit authorisation.
• Attempt to circumvent or disable any security feature of our services.

1.4 Spam and misuse

• Send unsolicited bulk email or other communications (“spam”).
• Use our services to harvest or collect email addresses without consent.
• Create fake or duplicate accounts.
• Abuse automated systems to create artificial engagement or traffic.

1.5 Platform abuse

• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile or disassemble our software.
• Scrape or extract data from our services beyond what is permitted by our API terms.
• Interfere with the operation of our services or other customers' use of them.
• Resell access to our services without our express written permission.

2. Consequences of violation

Violation of this AUP may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account, without refund. We may also report illegal activity to appropriate authorities and cooperate fully with any investigation. We reserve the right to determine what constitutes a violation and our decision is final.

3. Reporting abuse

If you believe someone is using our services in violation of this policy, please email abuse@tidalux.io with as much detail as possible. We investigate all reports promptly and in confidence.

4. Changes

We may update this AUP from time to time. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of any updated AUP.
