Acceptable Use Policy

In short

Rules for using Tidalux websites, hosted sites and accounts lawfully.

• These rules apply to tidalux.io and to sites and accounts we host.
• Spam, malware, unlawful content and attempts to break into systems are not allowed.
• Report abuse to abuse@tidalux.io with the address, the time and what you saw.

Who this covers

Customers, account users and anyone using a service we host. TapYes has its own rules in the TapYes terms. Quash (quash.li) is not in an app store. The terms link on that site goes to the TapYes terms.

Unlawful use

You must not use the services to:

• Break UK law, or another law that applies to what you are doing.
• Infringe someone else’s intellectual property.
• Commit fraud, impersonate someone, or mislead people about who you are.
• Break data protection or privacy law.

Harmful content

• Send or store content that is abusive, harassing, defamatory or hateful.
• Distribute child sexual abuse material. We report that to law enforcement.
• Promote violence, terrorism or extremism.

Security

• Try to get into a system, network or account you are not allowed to use.
• Send viruses, ransomware, spyware or other malicious code.
• Run denial-of-service attacks, or probe a network without permission.
• Turn off or work around a security control.

Spam and misuse

• Send unsolicited bulk email or other unsolicited bulk messages.
• Collect email addresses without consent.
• Open fake or duplicate accounts to get around a limit.
• Use automation to fake traffic or engagement.

The platform

• Reverse-engineer or decompile our software, except where the law allows it.
• Scrape data beyond what our published API terms allow.
• Interfere with the service, or with another customer’s use of it.
• Resell access without our written permission.

What we may do

We may suspend or end the service if you break this policy. A serious breach can mean we do that without a refund of fees already paid. We may report illegal activity and help a lawful investigation. We decide whether a report describes a breach of this policy. You can still write to us if you think we have that wrong.

Reporting abuse

Email abuse@tidalux.io with the address, the time and enough detail for us to look. We treat reports in confidence and we look at them promptly.

Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top is the last review. Continued use of a hosted service after a material update is acceptance of the updated rules for that service.
