What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a site puts on your device. Session cookies are removed when you close the browser. Persistent cookies stay until they expire or you delete them. Some preferences on this site are stored in localStorage instead. That is covered below. It is not a cookie.

The tables are built from the live site settings, so the names match what the browser stores.
Essential cookies
These are required for the site to function and cannot be switched off here. They include the referral cookie when you arrive through a partner link you chose to open.

Preference storage (localStorage)
Light and dark theme on the marketing site is stored in your browser localStorage, not as a cookie.
Clearing site data removes it. No cross-site tracking is involved.
The same applies to Reader mode and the text size control on our Wavelengths articles (/articles/…):
your choice is remembered in localStorage under tdx-wl-reader and tdx-wl-font-step so it applies the next time you open an article on this browser. No cookie is set, and nothing is shared with us or a third party.
On WaveCheck, if you have already seen the optional “keep this report” prompt, that fact is stored in localStorage under tdx.wavecheck.keepPrompt so we do not show it again on this browser. Nothing is sent to us, and clearing site data removes it.
Your cookie choice is also copied to localStorage under tdx.consent.v1 so an installed app or a browser that blocks cookies still remembers it. If you are signed in, we keep the same choice on your account so another device does not ask again.
We also keep a first-party, cookieless record of page views and article reads (a one-way hash, not your name) so we can see which public pages are used. That is not a cookie and it does not load Google.
Analytics cookies (optional, off until you accept)
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand, in aggregate, how visitors use tidalux.io. These cookies are not set unless you turn analytics on. Google Analytics 4 does not store your full IP address. You can change that choice at any time from Manage cookies. A change to the cookie rules can allow some on-site statistics without consent, where the figures stay with the site and you can object. Google Analytics does not qualify, because that data goes to Google, so it stays behind your choice. The first-party page counts above stay on our side and do not load Google.

Campaign measurement cookies (optional)
If you turn campaign measurement on, we may use Google Ads conversion tags to see which of our own adverts led you here, and to improve those campaigns. We never put adverts on this website. This stays off until you choose it.
No campaign cookies are configured on the site today. If that changes, this table will list them, and we will ask again only if the purpose is new.
Other sites
If a page embeds another site, for example a video, that site may set its own cookies. We do not control those. The tables above are the cookies this website sets. TapYes and Quash publish their own notices. This cookie list is not theirs.
How to manage cookies
Use Manage cookies in the footer, or the cookie bar, to accept all, keep necessary cookies only, or switch analytics and campaign measurement. Switching a category off stops that collection and clears the matching cookies on this browser. Essential cookies and preference storage stay, because the site needs them. We remember your choice for one year, or until you change it. We ask again only if the purposes themselves change.
You can also use your browser:
- View cookies and delete individual ones.
- Block third-party cookies, or cookies from a particular site.
- Block all cookies, or delete them when you close the browser.
Blocking essential cookies will affect the site. For example, you will not stay signed in.
Changes
The date at the top is the last review. If the purposes change, the cookie bar asks again.
