WaveAI quick start

Most sites go live in under an hour once the portal collection exists. Follow these steps in order.

1. Create an assistant

1. Sign in to the client portal.
2. Open WaveAI and create a new collection for the site or brand.
3. Note the public key shown in the install snippet.

2. Add knowledge

Add FAQs, service summaries and policy excerpts. Prefer short entries that answer one question well. You can also paste a bulk Q&A import (see the Knowledge base article).

3. Customise

Set greeting, accent or theme, launcher corner, tone, reply length, starter questions and human connectors before you publish the embed.

4. Copy the embed

Paste this before the closing body tag on every page where the widget should appear. Replace YOUR_KEY with your collection key.

5. Verify install

1. Load a page with the script and confirm the launcher appears.
2. Ask a question that exists in your knowledge and check the reply.
3. Ask something unknown and confirm handoff or "I do not know" behaviour.
4. If the launcher is missing, check the browser console, CSP, and that the key matches the portal snippet.
